A field guide, not a promise.
The work of investigating email is often split between the person sending it, the platform they use and the administrator who can inspect the setup. This publication helps connect those pieces.
We focus on the difference between an observation and a diagnosis. A message in spam is an observation. A low open rate is a different observation. Neither gives you permission to invent the cause.
How we write and check guides
Our launch guides are documentation-led. They link to provider instructions, explain the scope of those instructions and identify the point at which an authorised administrator or platform support team is needed.
Drafting tools can help organise material, but they do not create first-hand experience. A page labelled documentation-led does not claim access to your account or a hands-on product test. We do not invent test scores, screenshots, testimonials, customers or professional credentials.
Show the source.
Substantive guides include references and a checked date. An update date changes when the content is reviewed, not merely when the site rebuilds.
Name the limit.
Provider rules, account settings and test coverage can differ. Unknowns stay unknown rather than becoming convenient claims.
Separate the jobs.
DNS checks, header interpretation, address validation and inbox placement are different tasks. We explain which one a reader needs.
Earn a recommendation.
Product capabilities come from cited documentation. Hands-on claims require a real procedure and original evidence.
Why start with recruitment?
Recruitment teams can have candidate communication, client outreach and automated updates travelling through different systems. That makes the sending route a particularly useful place to begin. The same investigative approach helps other small B2B teams.
We are independent of the recruitment platforms and email providers mentioned. Their names identify the tools a reader uses, not an endorsement or partnership.
How this publication is funded
Some product links may become affiliate links after programme enrolment. Where that applies, we label the relationship and may earn a commission from an eligible purchase. We include free checks and non-affiliate alternatives when they are useful.
Read the funding and affiliate disclosure. Paid placement is not presented as a first-hand test result, and a commission is not a reason to claim a product will fix an account we have never inspected.
Corrections and contact
If a platform’s instructions change or a guide misses an important distinction, we want to correct it. Send the page URL, the specific issue and a public source where possible. Please do not send credentials, full candidate lists or sensitive customer information.
