Using the local tools
The email diagnostic uses the categories you select. The header explainer reads the text you paste into the current page. The IT handoff builder formats the details you enter into a brief.
These tools do not send that input to us, connect to your mailbox, make DNS requests or store the input in cookies, local storage or session storage. Clearing or reloading the page removes the input from the tool. Your browser itself may provide features such as form restoration outside our control.
If you choose to download or copy a handoff, the resulting file or clipboard content is under your control. Keep it private. The diagnostic can pass its three category selections to the handoff page in a URL; it does not pass message text or recipient addresses.
Website requests and hosting
This website is hosted on Amazon Web Services, using CloudFront and S3. Serving a page necessarily involves request information such as an IP address, requested URL and browser headers. AWS processes request information for delivery, operation and security under its applicable service terms.
No optional visitor analytics, advertising pixels, external fonts or marketing scripts are included in this version. Optional CloudFront access logging is not enabled by the supplied infrastructure. This does not mean that no operational data is processed by the hosting provider.
Cookies and browser storage
This version does not set analytics, advertising or preference cookies, and does not use browser storage to save tool input. There is no mailing-list sign-up or advertising network. If those features are added, this notice and any necessary consent mechanism must be reviewed before they are enabled.
Product links and other websites
Following an external product or source link takes you to another organisation’s website. That organisation’s privacy and cookie rules apply there. An enabled affiliate link may contain a referral identifier and allow the merchant or its programme provider to attribute an eligible visit or purchase.
Our own site does not load a merchant tracking pixel. Read how product links are funded for the commercial relationship.
If you email the publication
Editorial email is handled through Zoho Mail. Messages you send to the contact address are processed by that provider under its applicable terms and privacy information.
Your message and contact information are used to respond to your request, consider a correction and maintain the relevant correspondence. Correspondence is retained only for as long as needed for that purpose or an applicable obligation, and is reviewed periodically.
Do not send credentials, candidate/customer lists or confidential mailbox evidence. This publication is not your organisation’s IT support channel.
Your privacy requests
Use the public contact address above for questions or requests about correspondence or personal information held by the publisher. Rights that apply depend on the circumstances and jurisdiction.
Changes
This notice is updated when hosting, publisher identity, contact handling or data practices change. The policy date above identifies the current version.
